I read this article aloud to my 7, two-day old chicks, sitting next to them in their brooder. The irony is not lost on me. :P

I hope/intend be an anomaly to the badly managed small flock. I got big land-management plans for these ladies.

Thanks for pointing out the strange American pattern of responding to abundance with scarcity. I think we can break that cycle with enough mindfulness. Thanks for being another to bring it to the surface.

Well I'm glad my writing is managing to make it to an intelligent audience. For the record, there's a lot of good we can do with chickens, small flocks included. I do not doubt your competence.
