I seem to be having a conversation on repeat with many folks who get upset when this is pointed out or think any of it actually matters. They want to think their virtuous actions matter at the end of the world, which is fair, since we’re all basically trapped. But if the answer is not quit your job and go grow food then there really isn’t anything meaningful to be done. And clearly, even that alternative path has its pitfalls and it’s dependence (on some level) to capitalism.
How does one tiptoe on the edge of nihilism and existentialism without falling into the chasm?
